Book’s Near Triple-double

Booker was one more accurate lob pass and/or one missed Deandre Ayton layup from notching his first career triple-double. He finished with 39 points, 10 rebounds, and–ugh–nine assists.

But what else can you say about Devin Booker that hasn’t already been said? He has having a phenomenal season and one that most certainly warrants an All Star bid. In fact, at this point, if he doesn’t earn a spot on the team, the league needs to investigate the coach and player voting for fraud.

We already know the fan vote may as well be fraudulent, considering Tacko Fall has more votes than Devin Booker, but the league seems to already know this and embraces the buffoonery with  laughable gimmicks like days where one All Star vote counts for two.

At least the Phoenix Suns appreciate him. There is no telling where this team (or franchise) would be without his presence on the court, and it good to finally see nights like this translate into wins. Not as many as I’m sure he’d like, but wins nonetheless.

He still needs help though, and it was evident last night from he bench’s poor performance.
