It was a weird ending, but Saturday night, the Phoenix Suns beat the Boston Celtics in a game that saw big performances from the starters.

The Phoenix Suns almost coughed up Saturday night’s game against the Boston Celtics, but held on in the end to win the team’s second in a row and fourth in their last five games.

It was an odd ending that saw the referees not being on the same page about a foul in final minute. One official thought a foul on Devin Booker occurred before an in-bounds pass, and awarded him a free throw, which me made.

In actuality, the call was a common foul after the in-bounds and the free throw just served as practice for his next two (of course, Booker made all three anyway).

This all happened after the play was reviewed. We all make mistakes at our job, but this was like Xeroxing your butt, forgetting to dispose of all the copies only to find a few on your boss’s desk the next day.

Okay, maybe not that bad, and the outcome of the game didn’t change, but definitely not the referees’ finest moment.

Referee fumble aside, it was a huge win for the Phoenix Suns who are really starting to build some momentum, more impressively so considering they won back-to-back games with Kelly Oubre Jr., who is still in the concussion protocol, out.

Let’s march through some takeaways:
