It’s okay Phoenix Suns fans: you’re allowed to and SHOULD be angry
By Adam Maynes
You are allowed to be angry. You are allowed to be upset.
You are allowed to be angry. You are allowed to be upset.
Do not worry: if you complain about the franchise that you so love, not only will it still be there, but so too will the memories of a bygone day of success floating in your mind and recoverable on YouTube.
If you complain about the losing or a player’s poor performance, it is not going to offend anybody.
If you accept that Devin Booker will demand a trade in the near future (or worry that he literally just might demand a trade in the next couple of months) and he eventually does make such a demand, it is not your fault.
None of what is going on with this franchise is on you as an angry fan, and believing that being honest about the situation will only make it worse will only make you feel worse, while not helping the franchise in any discernible way.
The way we can help the franchise is by being angry.
By truly rising up as one and complaining daily in unison that the franchise is not any better now than it was last season and we demand a significant change for improvement to occur.
By truly rising up as one and putting pressure on Robert Sarver to either finally spend the money and capital to improve the roster right away, or finally accepting his own failures as an owner and sell the team.
You never know if our unified voice could actually create the changes necessary to fix this franchise, but the only way to find out is to try it.
The days of Jerry Colangelo are long gone, when the franchise hit a rut and Colangelo did everything in his power to rectify it as quickly as possible.
We are in truly dark times as fans of the Phoenix Suns and as the worst decade in franchise-history comes to a close, it is finally up to the fans to accept how truly bad things are; to allow yourself to be angry at the team for their ineptness; and demand unequivocally that changes are made to resolve the great problem of losing that fans of the franchise have suffered through for far too long.
