#3:  Back-to-back Arrests

Back in May, the once-upon-a-time next great Phoenix Suns superstar, Josh Jackson, got his mug shot taken after being arrested at a Miami music festival, for of all things, repeatedly trying to sneak into the VIP area.

He then fled police, leading to a felony escaping charge and a misdemeanor resisting arrest charge. While the felony charge got dropped, Jackson recently entered a diversion program for the misdemeanor.

It left most Suns fans thinking, “Dude, you’re a millionaire, just buy a freaking VIP pass.”

We have all done stupid stuff when we were 22, but this was pretty over-the-top embarrassing for everyone involved.

Then, just a month later, he was accused of getting his 5-month old baby high via second-hand marijuana smoke. Just…ugh.

Between these two reports, just two weeks after the Jackson arrest, Phoenix Suns forward, Richaun Holmes was arrested for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop in South Florida.

Police noticed a blunt was actively burning in the cup holder. Again, ugh.

It is hard to say whether these two arrests immediately led to the Suns shipping them off, or if they were on their way out the door anyway, but they certainly didn’t help.

It’s one thing to be historically bad on the court, but when you combine that with off-the-court issues like these, it mars the franchise with significant embarrassment.
