Kevin Love trade bait did just fine

The two players whose names have been thrown around as potential throw-ins for Kevin Love (or any other trade considering their expiring contracts and overall mediocrity) are Dario Saric and Frank Kaminsky (along with Tyler Johnson’s miserable contract, but he had the sniffles and didn’t play).

The duo did just fine, however, with Frank leading all bench players in scoring with 12. He even pulled down nine rebounds and dished out five assists. Dario played as you would expect with eight points and six boards.

It proved the Suns might not need to pay Kevin Love range salary for a notch below Kevin Love range stats. For what its worth, Love had nine points and six rebounds in Cleveland’s Monday night game against the Raptors.

Sometimes the best trades are the ones you don’t make. With Dario and Kaminsky putting up adequate to strong numbers at a fraction of the price and age, the Suns might be best served by letting them ride this out.

Now that Ayton has had his warmup game, it is time for the Suns to get a win. They need one to curb their current 3-game losing streak. They’ll have a good shot against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday after a few much-needed days off.
