Strangest lineup ever

In the last few minutes of the first quarter and fourth quarter, as well as the last few minutes of the third, the Suns played with a lineup consisting of three backup point guards and two backup centers.

To be more specific: Okobo, Carter, Jerome, Baynes, and Kaminsky.

Suffice to say, it led to a limited amount of offense and an overall -9 point scoring margin deficit.

None of the backup guards really stood out one way or another, with each of them having spurts of brilliance to go along with periods of invisibility. Kaminsky had another good scoring night, while Baynes was off.

Injuries are a pain both literally and figuratively. Monty Williams had to work with what he had and assuming he didn’t want Rubio and Oubre to play 48 minutes, but this might be the strangest lineup he could have put on the court.

Get well soon, Book.
