Kaminsky showed up, then sat down

On a night where the goal seemingly had a lid on it for the Phoenix Suns, Frank the Tank shot it off. The big man put up a career high 24 points on 9 of 12 shooting including 4 of 4 from 3.

The frustrating part of this, however, was that Williams didn’t ride his hot hand.

Kaminsky only played 26 minutes and sat most of the 4th quarter when the Suns desperately needed a comeback. Sure, his interior defense (or lack thereof) may have played a part of that, but the Suns needed to score, and last I checked, one cannot score from the bench.

Cam Johnson played over Kaminsky most of the final frame, and while the rookie is capable of shooting lights-out, his frail frame if often the target of exploitation on the defensive end, especially late in the game when every basket is crucial.

I know Monty has a rotation and an idea of how he wants to distribute minutes, but I would have liked to have seen him ride Frank before he cooled himself off too much.
