Peculiarity #1: Devin Booker shot an airball

The Suns shot 3 of 12 from deep in the third quarter, when all the aggressiveness seemed to stop. The passing. The cutting. The loose balls. All of it went out the window in favor of relatively lazy 3-pointers.

The trend continued in the fourth quarter. In fact, they nearly shot themselves out of the game. before Kelly Oubre saved the day.

The Suns shot an inexplicable 42 shots from behind the arc, only cashing in on nine of them, for an ugly 21.4%.

What was even crazier about this was that two of these attempts were airballs. The first came from Ricky Rubio. Ok, it happens.

But the second came from Devin Booker! That’s right. Devin Booker shot an airball after making 45 in a row in the pre-game shoot-around.

It was truly a strange day. But a win is a win, and it was a much-needed one for the Suns. They’ll try to make it two in a row against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.
