Peculiarity #2: Frank Kaminsky’s shot looks broken

One of the strangest observations of the night is a continuation of what seems to be an unfortunate trend. Frank Kaminsky seems to have lost all confidence in his shot.

Kaminsky’s year has gone up and down. To call him streaky is putting it mildly. Frank the Tank has made only one of his last 13 3-point attempts, and from the line, he only two of his last seven.

One of those was an airball in the Suns’ last game against the Washington Wizards. Yeah. An airball. On a free throw.

Maybe he fanned himself off too much.

Luckily for the Suns, it was Kaminsky’s poor free throw shooting that led to their wild win, as the Tank grabbed his own offensive rebound off the charity stripe miss that led to the 5-point possession and eventual victory.

Credit to Kaminsky for realizing his shot wasn’t falling and instead, attacking off the dribble and posting up smaller players around the rim. With Baynes out, the Suns needed his size and he game it to them.

Suns fans hope his finds another hot streak soon, especially if Baynes is forced to sit out more games.
