Moshing

Kind of like the the cold your niece and nephew gave you while visiting for Thanksgiving, having fun is contagious.

When a few guys are enjoying themselves, everyone is enjoying themselves.

For the most poignant example of this, look no further than the Suns’ pre-game hype ritual. While some teams will dance and others creatively give each other handshakes and high-fives, no one, and I mean no one I’ve ever seen play basketball at any level, starts a mosh pit.

Perhaps I’ve been to too many Less Than Jake punk rock concerts in my life, but how could anyone not love and want to be part of this? It is both original and impossible to walk away from not being fired up.

Even watching it makes me ready to run through a wall and dunk on someone’s face, two things I have only done in video games.

So, don’t listen to the ska song, Thank You For Not Moshing, and give thanks this holiday season for moshing, the Phoenix Suns new method to get pumped before every game.
