Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers needed a star to place next to LeBron James to help make them a playoff team, and after much trial and tribulation, they acquired Anthony Davis.
The Lakers then needed one more star to become a near lock for a Championship, and while many people thought they were going to land Kawhi Leonard, they instead settled for Jared Dudley.
Okay, just kidding: they signed DeMarcus Cousins who is obviously now just in ring-chasing mode.
Oh, and Danny Green who just won a title with Kawhi in Toronto after winning one together in San Antonio.
And Avery Bradley.
And Quinn Cook.
And Troy Daniels.
Plus they retained Kyle Kuzma, Rajon Rondo, JaVale McGee, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
Honestly – the Lakers once again appear to be the best team in the league, and if healthy, LeBron James will guide this now stacked team to a title and Phoenix Suns fans will hate him and Los Angeles that much more.
Unfortunately, I just do not see it – I do not see where a win is going to come from.
Whereas I feel like I can fairly justify a win against nearly every single team in the league, in my mind, unless Los Angeles rests LeBron and Kuzma in one game, I can not justify a win by the Phoenix Suns against the Lakers this season (unless something entirely unforeseen goes incredibly wrong in L.A. or incredibly right in Phoenix).
