Pacific Division

Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings were last season who the Phoenix Suns hope to be this season.

Built through the draft, the Kings have a young and exciting core that is now beginning to built around with veterans through free agency.

It is very possible that with Ricky Rubio, Monty Williams, a full season of Kelly Oubre, and a year under Deandre Ayton and Mikal Bridges’ belts that the two franchise’s are far closer to one another than last season made it seem, if Phoenix hasn’t even already leap-frogged Sacramento.

The Kings have a young core three of De’Aaron Fox, Marvin Bagley, and Buddy Hield (with former Sun-ish Bogdan Bogdanovic), although the Suns counter with Booker, Ayton, Oubre, and hopefully both Mikal and Cam.

As such, these two teams are very close to one another in how they were built, and when the older rosters of Golden State and the Lakers begin to slide, the Division may be up for grabs for the Suns and Sacramento for some time.

Two seasons ago Phoenix won three of four while last season the Kings managed the same feat.

This year I believe it will be a much closer fight between the two.

Prediction: 2-2.
