Southeast Division

Atlanta Hawks

Like the Miami Heat before them, Atlanta Hawks will enter 2019-20 with a nearly re-built roster, with major veteran additions of Evan Turner, Allen Crabbe, Chandler Parsons, Damian Jones, and Jabari Parker, plus highly rated rookies in De’Andre Hunter, Cam Reddish, and Bruno Fernando.

They are going to be a fun team to watch this season, however particularly because of runner-up Rookie of the Year award winner Trae Young (although, I will contend until the end of time that Deandre Ayton had a better rookie year).

Even with each franchise’s 2018-19 teams, the Hawks managed a pretty solid sweep of Phoenix within a month in February.

That said – is it not fair to say that the Suns will be a comparable team to Atlanta this season, and at least take one win from the Hawks?

Trea Young made a huge difference last season, but as I mentioned before, I sincerely believe that Monty Williams and Ricky Rubio will make a huge difference for Phoenix this season helping the Suns split the season series.

Prediction: 1-1.
