Central Division

Milwaukee Bucks

In one of the strangest sweeps in franchise history, the Suns surprisingly swept the Bucks last season 2-0 as Phoenix eventually ended up with the worst record in the Western Conference while Milwaukee finished with the best record in the league.

The 2018-19 Suns sweep was so unique, in fact, as the Bucks had swept Phoenix themselves in each of the previous three seasons.

And now the Suns are better  than they were last season, and with the loss of Malcolm Brogdon the Bucks are worse – although not that  much worse.

In fact, Brogdon is so far the only player of note that the Bucks had to replace from last season’s 61-21 team, and I’d say they did a pretty good job by inking Wesley Matthews.

Unfortunately, while it was exciting to sweep the Bucks last year, I have to imagine that it was a bit of a fluke, and that Giannis Antetokounmpo will have learned his lesson about over-looking teams he needs to beat (and will have properly dealt with his crushing playoff loss to the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference Finals), and take the Suns in 2019-20 rather handily.

Would I like to believe that the Suns could at least split the regular season series this year?

Absolutely, and sure, last season proved that anything can happen. However I will predict that it will be a sweep again, only this time back in favor of the Deers.

Prediction: Bucks sweep 2-0.
