Atlantic Division

Brooklyn Nets

The Nets easily had one of the biggest offseason roster turnovers in the league with the losses of D’Angelo Russell, DeMarre Carroll, Allen Crabbe, and the additions of Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, DeAndre Jordan, Taurean Prince, and more.

Sure Durant is not going to play this season, but let’s face it: Kyrie is better than D’Angelo and the total additions to play alongside Spencer Dinwiddie, Caris LeVert, and Jarrett Allen will continue to keep a well-coached and exciting Nets team above Phoenix this season.

The Suns have lost three straight against the Nets (organizationally), and seven out of the last eight, last winning on Halloween night 2017.

Unfortunately, even with the Suns’ improvements, Kyrie Irving was the catalyst to the Celtics’ defeats of Phoenix last season, and expect him to be able to do more of the same in 2019-20.

As much as I want to predict a 1-1 split, I believe that the Nets are still too good – even without Durant – and will take the series in a sweep.

Prediction: Nets sweep 2-0.
