San Antonio Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs really like Dejounte Murray, however he is likely at the peak of his value and thus one should not put it past the Bill Belichick of the NBA, Gregg Popovich, to find a trade that not only suits the Spurs, but while we might look at the acquired picks as mediocre, he will somehow find a way to turn them into centerpiece players for the next decade.

Either way, James Jones could swap what used to be Toronto’s 2019 first round pick (29) for 32, and add Milwaukee’s 2020 first round pick for Dejounte Murray.

Phoenix gets a solid point guard on the cheap, and while he has been a backup for the Spurs, he could start for Phoenix.

However, if the Suns are able to land a starting point guard (hhmmm…Ricky Rubio?) then Murray would be an excellent backup over Elie Okobo and De’Anthony Melton.
