Orlando Magic

I have long longed for Aaron Gordon, but much like the Detroit Pistons and Blake Griffin, the Orlando Magic just made the playoffs (damn  the East is weak), so it would be very difficult to pry him away.

Not only that, but his contract is front-loaded meaning that it becomes cheaper every year making the ability to add to the roster rather than take away from it is that much easier for Orlando.

That said, James Jones could offer the sixth overall pick, but T.J. Warren and Josh Jackson.

Honestly, that’s probably not enough, so the enticement of additional draft picks might have to be thrown in as well. How about 32nd overall this year then Phoenix’s 2021 first round pick as well.

Yeah, that is a lot,  but if Phoenix was able to land a decent point guard (Ricky Rubio is constantly my go to in these situations), a starting lineup of Rubio, Booker, (Oubre if he’s cheap, otherwise Bridges), Gordon, and Ayton, looks and sounds like a playoff contender right away.

Another potential trade could be for just acquired Markelle Fultz.

Everyone knows that he is broken, so maybe 32 and two additional second round picks (each of the next two seasons) could pull it off.
