Miami Heat

Goran Dragic has officially opted into the final year of his deal with the Miami Heat (he was never going to make $19 million anywhere else in his career).

The Miami Heat like  him, but he is not in any part of their future plans, and truthfully, they would love to have his money off their books as soon as possible.

The Phoenix Suns need a point guard, and while it would be hilarious if they snagged Goran to work under Monty Williams rather than Igor Kokoskov, hey – Robert Sarver owns the team and nothing  works the way it is supposed to.

The Suns could basically absorb his contract and offer their 32nd overall pick in return letting him ride off into the Valley of the Suns(et), playing for the franchise for the third time in his career.

That is until the trade deadline in February when Phoenix is already eliminated from the playoffs and he is exactly what a contender needs to make a stretch run in which case James Jones suavely makes a secondary deal for a first round pick.
