Detroit Pistons
If the Detroit Pistons hadn’t have made the playoffs last year, I could see them already willing to cut bait on Blake Griffin, in which case the Suns could maybe offer the sixth overall pick, T.J. Warren and Tyler Johnson, nabbing a very good but very expensive power forward for the next four years.
There is no kidding the thought of Devin Booker, Deandre Ayton, and Blake Griffin on the floor at the same time, and if Phoenix can keep Griffin (the most injury prone of the three) healthy, they’d easily make the Suns a playoff competitor, especially if James Jones was able to find a legit point guard as well.
But, by coming off of a playoff run – as brief as it was – and the potential of a weaker East with the chance that Kawhi Leonard moves West – Phoenix could still ask about Reggie Jackson, and nab him today for Johnson and the Milwaukee Bucks’ 2020 first round pick.
Then again, even that is meh.
As is an occurrence that does pop up every once in a while, the Detroit Pistons, like a couple of teams alphabetically before them, just do not really have anyone the Phoenix Suns would really want.
