Christmas Bonus

This is the only uniform on the list that no Phoenix Suns player ever wore, and it’s because the Phoenix Suns never wore them.

Back in 2015, the NBA and Adidas announced that the NBA teams who played on Christmas Day would wear special Christmas jersey’s that were different from their regular sets and only worn on that day. Since the uniforms were designed before the 2015-16 schedule was announced, they created a concept for every team in the league, images of each that were eventually released.

Obviously since the Suns haven’t been very good, they weren’t selected to play on Christmas Day and thus never wore the uniform (you can, however, wear them on the NBA2K games, which I have done dozens of times).

These uniforms are beautiful. The mix of egg nog off-white with the orange is a perfect, light pairing that is magical. The cursive font, which was employed for every uniform on Christmas, as well as the red wax which the NBA’s logo is stamped on, is a nice Christmas-y touch.

Honestly, after seeing them in play on NBA2K, I have always wished that the real  Suns would actually have a shot at wearing them once in a while. They are nice and unique, plus with the new trend of home teams wearing different colors at home, that would be a different look, similar to the Lakers wearing yellow, which would still allow opponents to wear a dark color keeping the traditional color presentation alive.
