3. Bonus – 1975 NBA All-Star Game

When you think about it, it was pretty cool that these uniforms were a direct – and intentional – knock off of the Suns’ uniforms at that time. The colors were the same, the font was the same, and the sunburst on the shorts would make a fan gasp at first glance as they thought, “Dave Cowens played for the SUNS?!”

The significant difference is in the text color. The inside of the EAST and number is white instead of orange, and it appears that the number is actually outlined in black. However, the inset of the WEST is in purple, while the number is entirely black.

These aren’t half bad at all, although they still aren’t that great. Why black, I don’t know. Plus, the EAST and WEST in the sunburst is very plain, which was the actual Suns uniform font, but for some reason looks a little odd here.
