Don’t get me wrong, these jerseys are classics. It’s hard to argue with the color, the trim, the sunburst on the shorts, the wasteband, and the overall look. The original jersey’s weren’t that bad.

But there is no arguing though that because of the plain font they were still relatively bland. The wild west font introduced beginning in 1973 took these jerseys to the next level, which is why those are higher on the list.
