You can’t be much more plain than the Suns’ original home uniforms. The PHOENIX font is about as basic as a font-type can be, and the overall general lack of color isn’t enough to make up for the plain nature of the uniform in general.

Granted, this uniform is not ugly.  On the contrary, the generic appearance does offer memories of the classical age of Phoenix Suns history as the team worked day and night to make a mark in the Valley in a time when playing in front of generally empty arenas was part of the landscape for the NBA.

This uniform is nice, it’s just not top-of-the-list nice.
