Honorable Mentions

Many people associated with the Suns are unwilling to accept any pick not in the top three.  Many wouldn’t hesitate trading the pick if it weren’t number one.

After evaluating the top prospects, I believe any pick in the top 3 is worth keeping.  Any pick that lands outside may lack trade value due to the lack of big names in this year’s draft class.  With the chance that the pick can land that low for the Suns, attention must be shed on more prospects.

The 2019 draft class has its share of uncertainties. Not as deep as last year’s draft, here are some players separate from the four above that have been stellar this season, are still playing as the NCAA tournament enters it’s later stages, and that the Suns should monitor.

Coby White, a Freshman point guard for the University of North Carolina, could help at a position of need.

Rui Hachimura, a Junior forward for Gonzaga, could provide some much needed play at the four.

Jarrett Culver, a Sophomore shooting guard from Texas Tech, should be watched as well. Despite the face of the franchise playing at the two, he could be a good fit in the back court.

This caps off the first look at how the top players in this year’s draft are performing. Stay tuned.
