Con: Does not fix this season’s PG problem

The biggest challenge for the Phoenix Sun’s continues to be their inability to find a player capable of running the team. Booker has been incredible taking over at point guard so far, but he should not be a long term option and still looks to score more than run the offense, which plays to his strengths.

If traded, Fultz will not be able to step in and fix this problem right away, and chances are he won’t be ready to start. He has had flashes this season in Philly but looks far from capable of running a team at this point, especially if his shoulder is not quite healthy.

This means the team will continue to struggle without a true point guard, which can have a long-term impact on the team. A big man as talented as Deandre Ayton is maximized when paired with a capable playmaker, and we will be unable to see Kokoskov’s offense with a capable backcourt. Fans will be impatient, and chances are that will carry over to the front office and some players.
