Phoenix Suns Rumors: How they can acquire a Southwest Division starting point guard

Memphis Grizzlies
The Grizzlies might be willing to dump off Mike Conley if someone was willing to take on his contract – which truthfully could eventually be the direction the Suns could go.
His contract is huge, but if they saw that they had no other long-term solution availble to them right away than embracing the tank, they might be willing to move him in a contract swap and take on Tyson Chandler and Ryan Anderson, saving them money following this season and next.
Conley would be a huge upgrade and would make Phoenix relevant in the West, even though adding him wouldn’t guarantee that they would sniff the playoffs this season.
That said, it wouldn’t hurt Phoenix to make a run at him for the short term if the Grizzlies wanted to move contracts and save some money right away.
If not, there might be another way with Memphis: Andrew Harrison.
He hasn’t made an appearance this season yet, but is another friend of Devin Booker‘s and it doesn’t hurt to at least look in that direction.
Harrison started in 46 games for Memphis in 2017-18 pretty much out of necessity and really isn’t anything special. He is better than who the Suns have though, is probably fairly cheap (maybe a protected second round pick and Dragan Bender), and would hopefully help keep Book complacent while the Suns figure out another option.
