Phoenix Suns Rumors: How they can acquire a Northwest Division starting point guard

Oklahoma City Thunder
Dennis Schroder is the man.
The Oklahoma City Thunder traded a future hall of famer (Carmelo Anthony) and a first round pick for him, so it would cost a lot to get him (sort of). That said, he’s putting up wicked good numbers this season (13.0p/4.2r/7.0a) and would seemingly be perfect in Phoenix.
What would it cost? If OKC keeps losing, might they consider it at some point and hope that less is more?
Schroder was not the answer in Atlanta but is only a small piece in Oklahoma City.
He is also playing the position that Russell Westbrook plays, arguably the most statistically-centric point guard in NBA history.
And think about this: Westbrook isn’t averaging 10 assists a game this season, only 7.7 and the Thunder aren’t winning. Schroder is taking some of those dimes away from him.
What if the Suns offered T.J. Warren for Schroder? Schroder gone gives Westbrook his stats back, and Warren on OKC becomes a fantastic backup to Paul George and with his newfound 3-point shooting could even play a tall shooting guard.
Warren might be an awful lot for Schroder, but at least Dennis and Warren are the same age so it’s not like Phoenix would be giving up any youth.
