Sacramento Kings

When the Suns selected Josh Jackson fourth overall in 2017, they passed up on point guard De’Aaron Fox.

While we’re all still hopeful that Jackson becomes the stud small forward that he was projected to be out of college, Fox could have been the point guard of the future and already looks the part in Sacramento.

Who knows yet if Fox will ever be a star, but at the moment he’s be much, much better than anyone Phoenix has, and would at least check off the box of improving the position for at least the next 5-8 years.

Fox is looking better and better every game (17.7p/4.2r/7.0a this season), although he can’t shoot 3’s (20.0%). There is no way that Sacramento is interested in trading him unless Phoenix is offering Devin Booker or Deandre Ayton, not even for Jackson who was selected just above him.

I’d love it if the Suns could re-acquire Bogdan Bogdanovic, although he’s not a point guard. Having his shooting off the bench though would help whatever point guard Phoenix has, although if the point guard can’t get him the ball, then there really isn’t anything they can do about it.

Frank Mason III might be the best best to acquire, although I think he is probably no better than Isaiah Canaan so why would Phoenix show any interest?

Truthfully, I don’t think that they would and while I wouldn’t mind seeing him at 30 minutes a game for a month or two to see what he could do, I doubt that the Kings would give him up for just a second round pick, and truthfully I just don’t think that he is worth anything more than that to Phoenix.
