5. Wednesday November 21st: Phoenix Suns @ Chicago Bulls

It might be an upset for some to see this game on this list.

While it is true that this game does not feature a marquee team, or have a spicy individual match-up, it is one of the games where you can track the Phoenix Suns’ progress the easiest.

The makeup of these teams is similar in that they both have rotations filled with solid young players along with a few veteran role players there to teach. The Bulls feature players like Jabari Parker, Wendell Carter Jr., Zach Lavine, and might also have back Lauri Markkanen and Kris Dunn depending on their recovery from injuries. Who knows, if Dunn is out you may also get a heavy dose of former Suns Tyler Ulis and/or Shaq Harrison.

The battle of the young cores should be a personal one for players on the Phoenix Suns. They are competing with the players who they will be compared to for their whole careers. How they individually, and as a team perform in games like this can give fans a good indication on how the Suns future really is shaking out.

In a month full of games that the Phoenix Suns might not win, this could be one that, just before the Thanksgiving holiday, might give fans something to be happy about.
