Detroit Pistons

The only point guard that the Pistons have that the Phoenix Suns might want would be veteran Jose Calderon. An assists master, I question if there is a point guard anywhere else around the league who would better help this offense flow the way Igor Kokoskov envisions.

Calderon is a shell of his former self, however, and has barely made it onto the court with the finally good again Pistons.

Is there enough in his tank to help Phoenix become a competitive team this season and at least stave off so many blow outs? Does he have the legs to run 30 minutes a night when he has thus far played a total of 14 in five games?

I think that the Pistons would take a second round pick for their back up’s back up and it would behoove Phoenix to make such an offer – when they are allowed.

Calderon has a no-trade restriction until January 15.

If the Suns really want him, they’ll have to wait – which probably means that they will pass on him entirely choosing instead to find someone who is available much sooner.
