Marquese Chriss
Acquired as a 2016 first round pick (8th overall) for a 2016 first round pick (13th overall – Georgios Papagiannis was selected), a 2016 first overall pick (28th overall – Skal Labissiere was selected), the rights to Bogdan Bogdanovic, and Detroit’s 2020 second round pick.
Georgios Papagiannis
The 13th overall pick that was used on Georgios was originally acquired in a trade that sent Markieff Morris to the Washington Wizards. Markieff Morris was selected with the Phoenix Suns’ own 2011 first round pick
Skal Labissiere
The 28th overall pick that was used to select Skal was originally acquired when Phoenix traded Isaiah Thomas to the Boston Celtics.
In part of the package to acquire Thomas from the Sacramento Kings in a sign-and-trade, Phoenix sent the Kings Alex Oriakhi whom they had selected in the 2013 draft and a trade exception.
Oriakhi was acquired as a second round pick (57th overall) in the trade of Steve Nash to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Steve Nash was originally acquired as a free agent.
Detroit 2020 second round pick
The pick was acquired in the trade that sent Marcus Morris, Reggie Bullock, and Danny Granger to the Detroit Pistons
Morris was originally acquired with the Suns’ own 2013 second round pick, (in which Isaiah Canaan was ultimately selected).
Bullock was acquired for Shavlik Randolph, while Randolph was originally acquired as a free agent.
Danny Granger was acquired from the Miami Heat in the Goran Dragic and Zoran Dragic trade to the Miami Heat.
Both Dragic brothers were acquired by the Suns as free agents.
Bogdan Bogdanovic
The first round draft pick that was used to select Bogdan Bogdanovic was acquired when the Phoenix traded Luis Scola to the Indiana Pacers.
Scola was acquired as an amnesty auction selection following the 2011-12 NBA Lockout.
The Marquese Chriss line was pretty simple to follow, ending with three free agents, a draft pick, Luis Scola who was acquired in an amnesty auction, the draft pick of Markieff Morris, and the trade of Steve Nash.
