The Phoenix Suns should set high goals this season. These three goals might be very lofty, but the team would be in great shape if they could reach them.

Last season was a tough one for the Phoenix Suns. They won just 21 games, which was good for dead last in the NBA. They were statistically the worst offense in the NBA. They were also statistically the worst defense in the NBA. A truly dreadful combination.

But this year they have a chance to turn things around, especially coming off of an offseason that saw them add heaps of talent.

Deandre Ayton, Mikal Bridges, Elie Okobo, and De’Anthony Melton are all talented rookies who should bolster the rotation. Trevor Ariza and Ryan Anderson are veterans who can help show the young guys the way. Devin Booker, Josh Jackson, and the rest of the returning young players had the whole summer to work on their games.

If the Suns could just add a point guard, they’d have a complete roster capable of winning far more games than last season.

But even with where the Suns sit now, success isn’t out of the question. Both team and individual achievements are in reach for the team this year. The influx of talent and improved coaching could allow the Suns to reach new levels this season.

These three scenarios aren’t likely, but they’re certainly possible. Goals should be set high, and these unlikely goals would be amazing if the Phoenix Suns could reach them.
