Miami Heat

PG – Goran Dragic – 84
SG – Dion Waiters – 76
SF – Josh Richardson – 78
PF – James Johnson – 77
C – Hassan Whiteside – 85

The Miami Heat were a six-seed in the Playoffs last year, and yet in the Western Conference, they would have been a 10-seed.

Hassan Whiteside nearly nuked them during the regular season, and apparently they are attempting to trade Goran Dragic, so they seem like a team that might be in for some change. That said, if they look like they’ve got a shot at making the playoffs again (which, they probably will), then they might be forced to stick together just to make that potentially one last run.

Unlike 2K where Suns simulators shouldn’t really have any issues with the Heat, the real-life Suns might be swept by Miami – although they should be able to take at least one from Miami this season. Miami has played Phoenix though the last few seasons, and handled their Western Conference counterpart last year.

This is because the Suns starters actually out-rate the Miami Heat sans the Hassan Whiteside and Deandre Ayton matchup. That said, I would bet that Whiteside doesn’t dominate  Ayton. In fact, with Ayton’ s size, I could see him actually pushing Whiteside around a bit.

In real life, their two games will be fun, and they’ll be a blast to play on 2K. Pitting the backcourt of Booker and Dragic against one another on offense and Whiteside and Ayton on defense, will lead to some really exciting, tight games.
