Atlanta Hawks

PG – Trae Young – 77
SG – Kent Bazemore – 77
SF – Taurean Prince – 78
PF – John Collins – 79
C – Dewayne Dedmon – 77

Much like the Sacramento Kings, the Atlanta Hawks have a ridiculously average starting lineup, arguably one of the worst in the NBA. Although they have several young players that many teams would to love to have themselves, the Hawks aren’t going anywhere right now, but they might soar again at some point in the future.

Playing on NBA2K, I honestly don’t recommend playing with the modern Hawks team or their ‘Classic’ teams (their All-Hawks historical team isn’t bad though), and if you play against the 2018-19 Hawks with the Suns, you should walk right over them.

The real Suns too should walk over Atlanta twice this season as they are far more talented and veteran-laden.

Phoenix starters well out-rate the Hawks overall and win the head-to-head ratings matchup with Devin Booker, T.J. Warren, and Deandre Ayton. Josh Jackson and Kent Bazemore are tied at 77, and John Collins is rated one point ahead of Trevor Ariza – which I disagree with.

The Hawks are going to be awful in real life (as is their plan) and will be easily beatable on 2K. Unless you’re itching to either play with or against Trae Young in particular, those games are sim-overs in Franchise Mode.

Total Rating Score: 388         Average starter rating: 77.6
