Phoenix Suns
PG – Devin Booker: 87
SG – Josh Jackson: 77
SF – T.J. Warren: 80
PF – Trevor Ariza: 78
C – Deandre Ayton: 79 (Fair, but low.)
Of course the roster’s best player is Devin Booker who this season has had his rating raised to a very respectable 87. Beyond him, however, the only other 80+ rated player is T.J. Warren who last year proved he can be a tremendous scorer if given the opportunities.
(I have long believed that he should not be traded and remain on the roster, which if given a sixth man role, will give him a truly viable Sixth Man of the Year candidate – also making the Suns better on 2K.)
Trailing just behind him in rating is rookie Deandre Ayton. Ayton’s rating though of 79 is really a surprise to me and fully expected that his rating too isn’t in the 80s, if even only 80 or 81. We’ll see how quickly his rating shifts when the season (or even preseason) begins, but in the meantime, he sits only one point ahead of Trevor Ariza and two ahead of second-year player Josh Jackson.
All-and-all, the starting lineup is still young, but much improved over it’s 2017-18 incarnation, should this projected lineup hold through to real life.
Total rating score of 401 for an average starter rating of 80.2.
Not too bad at all.
