C – Nikola Jokic – 89
Is Nikola Jokic a great unicorn center?
Or is he one of the most easily exploitable players in the league who will never have playoff success when opponents switch off on him as quickly and often as I switch channels when the Suns aren’t on?
On 2K, he’s a great unicorn center who I like to trade for as often as the Nuggets will let me.
He is also difficult to play against both digitally and realistically making he – and the Nuggets – very difficult to beat.
This leaked 2K roster is missing someone very particular, former Sun, Isaiah Thomas.
Two years ago Thomas was the talk of the league. Now he is playing for the Denver Nuggets, probably the most un-expected destination he could have gone to besides Phoenix, and if healthy will help.
However, in real life he won’t be enough to pull Denver into the playoffs, in my opinion, although in 2K his shooting will kill you.
With or without Thomas, every Denver starter has a better rating than his Phoenix counterpart, with Phoenix only winning the point guard head-to-head between Devin Booker and Jamal Murray.
In the Western Conference I do not expect the Denver Nuggets to scare anyone, and with (or without) Isaiah Thomas I do not believe they are a playoff team.
I want to believe that Phoenix is actually better than Denver, but then again, the Nuggets might sweep the Suns this season.
On2K.
I expect the Suns to win the season series.
