Comparing the Phoenix Suns’ 2K ratings to the Northwest Division
By Adam Maynes
Utah Jazz
PG – Ricky Rubio – 77 (If Rubio is a team’s worst-rated starter, they are going to be tough.)
SG – Donovan Mitchell – 87 (Devin Booker dropped 70 points in a game in his second season and still didn’t get the respect that Mitchell has received with only a rookie year under his belt)
SF – Joe Ingles – 79
PF – Derrick Favors – 79
C – Rudy Gobert – 87
I mean, c’mon. I know that Mitchell is good, but he really that good? He is the same rating as Devin Booker good?
Yeah, he’s that good, and the Suns could have had him – although, nobody knew, but still…
The Jazz are good. They’re better than the Portland Trailblazers good. They’re not beat the Warriors good, but they really are good and they’re going to be ultra difficult for the real-life Suns to beat.
They’re also really difficult for the simulation Suns to beat as well as they play the same on in the game as they do in real life, and on NBA2K, slower really does win the race.
The Suns are improved, but they’re not that good yet and I project that they struggle to beat Utah even once this season. The Jazz aren’t old like the Lakers where the Suns have a chance to outrun them, nor are they like the Warriors who are bored with the regular seasons. Utah has something to prove, and that is going to make them difficult for Phoenix to beat.
