#6: Isaiah Thomas (5-9, 185 pounds, 2014-15)
Thomas was thought to be a steal when signed at a bargain price in free agency with the Suns. Maybe he would have been, but the three-headed-guard-dragon that included Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe just didn’t work out.
Thomas, unhappy with the situation, was traded to Boston in the same flurry of trades that brought in Knight. He made 39% of his 3’s with the Suns, and posted 15.2 points, 3.7 assists, and 1 steal in 25.7 minutes per game off the bench.
#5: Quentin Richardson (6-6, 230 pounds, 2004-05)
Ah, the magical times and the good memories that come to mind when you think of the 2004-05 Suns.
‘Q’ was a key part of that team thanks to his strong contributions from behind the 3-point line. He set the Suns single season record for 3/s, and along with Kyle Korver, he co-led the league in both 3’s made and attempted.
Richardson won the All-Star 3-Point Shootout that year, and he also set a Suns franchise record with 9 treys in one game.
The Suns won a league best 62 games thanks in part to his 14.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.
Q Horns all around.
