Shaq Harrison: 72 (2K18: 69)

Harrison wasn’t even in the game until he signed his first 10-day contract with Phoenix last season. Once he was inserted, 2K never touched his character’s model or rating for the rest of the year. Now that they have a full offseason to review his tape and stats, hopefully they will see his propensity for defense and hustle.

He’s still a below average shooter and an average ball handler at best, but his defensive stats should definitely get a big boost compared to 2K18.

Elie Okobo72 (2K18: N/A)

Okobo was the first pick in the second round of the draft for a reason. He has the potential to be a good starting point guard in this league.

However, he’s still somewhat raw and there’s a legitimate battle over who will be the backup point guard this season behind Brandon Knight between he and Shaq Harrison.

Okobo has plenty of skills on offense, but his utter lack of defense will affect him, both in 2K and in real life. A 72 rating is pretty fair, possibly even a little generous.

The more important rating for him is his potential, which we predict as an 81. With a solid potential like this, we could see him grow into a starting-caliber player in a few years of simulating playing in a MyGM or MyLeague mode.
