If you missed this week’s Valley of the Suns Live! on Tuesday (a day later than normal), we’ve got your replay here!

Valley of the Suns Live! was a day late this week, but that didn’t slow down the fans from taking part in the only weekly live show dedicated to the fans of the Phoenix Suns in the world!

This offseason has been a relatively slow one, as far as the Suns making interesting moves, they haven’t made a splashy trade and their only “big-named” free agency acquisition was obviously Trevor Ariza. So obviously fans want to know if Phoenix is going to make another trade or if there are any free agent signings still potentially to happen before the start of the season.

Unfortunately, I do not believe so. The roster is currently full, and unless there is a disgruntled superstar available out of the blue over the next month, there really isn’t anyone too splashy to make an offer on.

That said, I have long believed that the next surprise superstar to become available will be Damian Lillard, point guard of the Portland Trailblazers.

Will  he become available this season? Obviously I have no guarantee, but it is my gut instinct that he could be the next truly big name player on the move. If by the trade deadline the Blazers are securely out of the playoff race (which with the upgraded Western Conference and a Portland team that did not add any major pieces to help drag them over the top this is definitely possible), and/or if Lillard demands out of Portland for a different reason, then he would be the perfect player for the Suns to target and throw their wealth of active and inanimate assets at.

If Lillard does become available, than the Summer draft selection of Mikal Bridges likely makes Josh Jackson the (in my opinion, guaranteed) focal point of the Blazers as a piece in return.

Eddie Johnson has long compared Jackson to former Blazers-superstar Clyde Drexler, so if there is anyone not named Devin Booker or Deandre Ayton that the Blazers might want, why not send them the player who most closely resembles the inarguable greatest player in franchise history.

Next. Top story lines to watch for this season. dark
