With a vastly improved roster and new Head Coach Igor Kokoskov ready to take the helm for thew first time, the Phoenix Suns will enter the 2018-19 season as one of the most intriguing teams in the league. What are the top storylines to follow throughout the season?

Winning the NBA draft lottery, hiring a new head coach, signing an effective veteran player.

The Phoenix Suns had a successful offseason that has placed the team in their most promising position since Steve Nash dominated in the desert. The roster finally holds a level of intrigue that can excite a city deprived of playoff basketball for nearly a decade, while providing interest on a national level.

Unfortunately, they remain a young and inexperienced overall while facing a daunting Western Conference that is loaded with talent at a historical level.

A playoff push is not impossible, so the odd are ever not  in Phoenix’s favor and will end up on the outside looking in as the 2018-19 season comes to a close.

However, this should not discourage fans, and certainly not discourage them from watching as many games as they possibly can.

The team is set up to be successful in the future, and as the franchise’s 2018-19 moniker states it is “Time to Rise,” and witnessing the apparent birth of a soon-to-be dominant franchise, is going to be reason enough to follow these exciting youngsters throughout the entire process, beginning with game one of the regular season on October 17.

More than just “they’re young and exciting though,” there are plenty of stories to look out for throughout the course of the season.

Here are a few of the most important ones that will foreshadow just how high the team’s ceiling is.
