Adjusting to a new coach is difficult

It’s really difficult for experienced players to be put with an experienced coach and click right away. Even Miami had trouble in their first year of the big three.

But the Suns’ situation is a hundred times harder to figure out.

First off, almost all of their most important players are under 25, so they’re still trying to figure out the NBA game. Giving them another playbook, system, and coaching style to adjust to will be a challenge.

There are also many changes coming to the rotation, including players acquired via the draft and free agency. The new players will have to learn to play with the team, and the existing players will have to learn new roles and new teammates.

Then, to top it off, new coach Igor Kokoskov has never been an NBA head coach. So he’ll need to get a feel for being the head of an NBA team while also getting a feel for his players.

Next. Will the Phoenix Suns be hurt if Knight is ever out?. dark

Everything is new for everyone. The adjustment for the young guys and the rookie coach won’t go smoothly, and it’ll cost the team its fair share of wins throughout the season, especially in close games.
