#6 Jonathan Gibson (6-2 185, 30-years-old)

Another point guard.

There is a pattern here. I swear I have other positions coming

Also, I do see he is 30-year-old already. And I know he had a very non impressive stint in Dallas on the Mavericks.

However, he also had (albeit very limited at a mere 4 games) a productive stint in Boston on the Celtics last year making 61% of his shots and 6 of 12 threes (50%) for a total of 34 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds in 40 minutes.

He is a decent play maker and an instant scorer – just add water.

If I haven’t convinced you yet on a simple 2-way contract with no risk at all, let me point out the numbers he put up in the Chinese Basketball Association – CBA.

In 3 seasons with Qingdao, he played 74 games and was absolutely out of his mind. He was Steph Curry with the shot (39% accuracy from distance, 4.4 made treys per game) and averaged an insane 37.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.8 steals with 3.3 turnovers per game.

The Celtics were loaded at guard last season or he probably would have played more than he did. He will have a legit shot at legit minutes as a Sun. Bring him in and let’s see.
