KYLE ANDERSON (6-9 230, 24-years-old)

Season Stats : 53-33-71 shooting (0.3 treys) for 7.9 pts, 5.4 rebs, 2.7 asts, 1.6 stls and 0.8 blks in 26.7 mins

Before this season, Kyle Anderson hadn’t been given much of an opportunity to play. Now he’s shown he deserves to play. And it would give me so much pleasure grabbing one of the Spurs’ young guys and allowing him to reach his full potential here in Phoenix.

He’s an all around guy that can really fill up the stat sheet. Rebounding is good. Play making is good – especially for his size. Defense is solid. He’s long and smart.

Scoring is a work in progress. But the potential is there. He’s made 49 treys in four seasons on 33.8% accuracy. That’s not bad. He just needs to get more confidence. Coach Kokoskov could help with that. And he scored in double digits 28 times this season despite only averaging 5.9 field goal attempts. The scoring could definitely come and then he’d be an all-around package.

This season in the 24 games when he played at least 30 minutes he averaged 11 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.2 blocks per game.

He had 20 games this season with at least 7 rebounds and 10 games with at least 5 assists.

Think of a quicker, more in shape Boris Diaw. Or a James Johnson. He could be a really good fit next to Ayton in the front court.
