22nd Pick

The Chicago Bulls are a team desperately in need of high quality assets. Their team consists of lower tier young talents surrounding two promising pieces, Lauri Markannen and Zach Lavine. With this trade, the Bulls move back 8 spots in a very top-heavy draft, and in return get a future first round pick that they can use to get another young core player with, or trade for a veteran star down the line. If there’s no one here that Chicago really likes, a move like this could be smart for them.

For Phoenix, they give up a future first round pick from Milwaukee that doesn’t project to be a lottery pick any time soon, and is best served as a trade asset in a deal such as this one to move up in the draft. Giving it up to move to 22, especially if they love a player available here, is a no-brainer.
