3rd Pick

If for some reason he Memphis Grizzlies aren’t willing to make a trade that could land the Suns Luka Doncic, then maaaaaaaaaybe the Atlanta Hawks will.

Granted, it appears now that the Hawks are set on taking Mohamed Bamba meaning that they must really like him if they are going to pass on Luka Doncic, however, they still might be interested in a trade.

Much like Memphis, for the Suns to be able to pull off a trade so high without giving up the first round pick, they will have to take a really bad contract away from the Hawks to make it happen. It fact, they might actually have to take two.

In my mind, this pick is actually going to be the most difficult to acquire because not only is Atlanta so bad that they need as much help as possible, but they are actually so  bad, that they know that this one draft pick won’t be enough to change their fortunes, and instead, they need to tank for at least  one more season, if not two, to before they can pull themselves out of their spiral. So what the Suns need to do is swap a bunch of players, that not only allows them to add to a core, but also still suck enough that they can have a shot at another top pick next season as well.

I feel like of all of the trades proposed in this post, this is the one that on NBA2K18 would need to have the override mode on, but at the same time, it might be the only real option the Suns could give the Hawks.
