The Final Valley of the Suns 2018 Mock Draft

Shake is a boom or bust selection in that he’s either going to get picked in the mid-20s or he’s falling into the early 30s. I think the team most likely to overvalue what he does is Portland. Assuming they’re not going to blow up their backcourt, Shake gives them the ability to backup both guard spots with a little bit of everything and good overall size.
Jacob Evans would be another nice fit in the role that Evan Turner should be playing.
I still feel like Bates-Diop is under valued here. He’s a wildly versatile player who just fits with what so many teams want to do now. The Pacers shocked the NBA by maximizing players who could do a little bit of everything. The mold fits here.
They will almost certainly be hoping for Okobo to drop this far, but I don’t think they’ll get that lucky.
By all accounts this is going to be Chandler Hutchison if he’s available. I don’t think he will be because Kuzma’s success last year is going to tempt someone to take a flier. Without Hutchison here the Bull should just swing for the fences. Simons is the model of high risk-high reward. If Dunn doesn’t get the ship turned around, Simons would at least leave behind something to hope for.
The Bulls may also look at Dzanan Musa as another hail mary option.
