With the NBA Draft and Free Agency approaching, rumors are swirling around the league, and some of them could end up impacting the Phoenix Suns.

For now, the Suns offseason seems to have a fair amount of certainty. Deandre Ayton seems to be a lock to go number one. The team figures to be conservative in free agency. And Devin Booker and Josh Jackson seem to be untouchable in trade talks.

But the rest of the NBA is a sea of rumors, and the future of some of the league’s brightest stars is very much in question. This offseason could be one of the most exciting in recent history. And it involves the Phoenix Suns a lot more than it initially may seem.

This summer, the major players in trades and free agency will probably be the Lakers, Sixers, Celtics, Spurs, and Cavaliers. The Suns aren’t a frontrunner to bring in a big free agent or trade for a superstar, but where everyone lands still matters.

Because this summer it’s other teams, but for the next two offseasons, the hot destination may be Phoenix, and the landscape of the league at that point will have a major impact on what the Suns can and can’t do when it comes time to cash in their assets and cap space.

Not to mention some big-name players in the 2018 NBA Draft are rumored to slide, and it could be a chance for the Suns to grab a second top talent if they can move up from 16.

So let’s take a look at three of the hottest rumors around the league and how they could have a huge ripple effect on the future of the Phoenix Suns.
