Ten sleeper prospects for the Phoenix Suns at draft’s end
6. Kelan Martin (6-6 230) from Butler
Season Stats : 45-36-84 shooting line (2.7 treys) for 21.2 pts, 6.3 rebs, 0.7 stls and 0.5 blks
In 10 games versus ranked opponents and in the tourney Kelan Martin brought out his torch from downtown making 3.5 treys on 45% accuracy for 23.6 points per game.
Kelan is a shooter that can light it up from any spot on the floor and can be the ultimate 3 and D guy. He scored at least 25 points in 12 different games this season.
He lacks an elite first step and is not an elite athlete, but he is a better athlete than advertised, can play decent defense, and is a good rebounder.
Phoenix drafted Davon Reed last year in hopes he could be that 3 and D guy. If they were to move on from him, Martin would be a nice alternative.
He has potential to be a steal and has a chance to end up, if you can imagine, similar to T.J. Warren but with a legit 3-point shot.
