The Suns use the 59th pick on an NBA-ready player

If the Suns keep the 59th pick, I fully expect the player taken to be either a draft and stash option or a G-Leage player. The odds of taking a player who actually makes the NBA roster their rookie season are very low.

But if a good option remains available and the Suns take someone ready to contribute in a minor role, it would definitely be a very pleasant surprise.

Its without a doubt unlikely, but it isn’t impossible. Over the past few years, the Sixers have shown that even undrafted players can make a team. And the Suns have enough unclaimed roster spots that a low pick with a strong summer league and preseason could turn enough heads to get a chance.

Next: This summer, patience is key to building a championship team

It probably won’t happen, but if a potential day-one contributor falls all the way to the end of the draft, the Suns should be ready to keep the pick and draft him.

It would certainly add some fun to the last hour of the NBA Draft.
